What is Stevia (Meethi Tulsi)?

Stevia is a plant which looks similar to a Tulsi Plant. The leaves of the Stevia plant are extremely sweet in taste.

How is Stevia Powder made?

1. Harvesting Stevia Leaves:

   • Stevia leaves are picked from the Stevia plant.

2. Steeping in Hot Water:

   • The leaves are soaked in hot water.
   • This helps to draw out the sweet compounds from the leaves.

3. Filtering:

   • The mixture is filtered to get rid of any impurities and solid particles.

4. Purification:

   • The filtered liquid undergoes a purification process.
   • This step removes any leftover plant material and other impurities.

5. Concentration:

   • The purified liquid is concentrated.
   • This involves reducing the volume to intensify the sweetness.

6. Crystallization:

   • The concentrated liquid is cooled down.
   • Sweet compounds start forming crystals in the solution.

7. Separation:

   • Crystals are separated from the remaining liquid.

8. Drying:

   • The separated crystals are dried.

9. Grinding:

   • Dried crystals are ground into a fine powder.

10. Final Product:

    • The end result is a fine Stevia powder ready for use as a sweetener.
